Spirits of Sounds is a photography project focused on bringing the music festival community together. We capture portraits and share stories from festivals across the country, illuminating the individuals who deeply embrace music and culture.
This weekend, we’ll be gathering stories at the first-ever Same Same But Different Music & Art Festival 2018. SSBD Fest is an intimate, two-day, multi-genre event taking place in Lake Perris, California.
Founded in 2014, Spirits of Sounds showcases the unique experiences, passionate pursuits and individuality of music lovers. We’ve built a community of more than 4,000 festivalgoers, and we’re incredibly excited to shoot our first Southern California series.
SSBD is a festival built to celebrate what makes us all different and unique—a mission very much in alignment with what Spirits of Sounds works to achieve.
“We strive to push each other to listen to one another again as human beings, whether or not we agree on every topic,” according to the festival’s press release.
