“If I could wake up anywhere in the world tomorrow, it would have to be here, at Suwannee. Where else? It’s the best place there is.”
“The proudest moment of my life was when I did my first vending experience here at Suwannee for Aura 2015. I’m 19 years old and already living my dream of selling my clothes full time. That’s gotta be the proudest moment for me.”
“The best moment in my life was being born.” “My life purpose is to fulfill my life purpose, whether I know what it is now or not.”
“The most important way we can honor Rachel’s life is by acknowledging the role we all have in changing the laws that took her life. Rachel’s Law is a great start, but we still have a lot of work to do. There continue to be thousands of casualties of the ‘drug war’ in this country every year… from families ripped apart by incarceration for minor, nonviolent offenses; to youth who fall into addictive patterns of drug use because of our failure to really educate them properly about drugs; to the millions of people affected by the violence in Mexico because of the power of illegal cartels. We as a community need to stand up and say that it’s not okay for beautiful people to be stigmatized and for precious lives to be lost because of what anyone chooses to put into his or her own body!”
