“It’s my birthday today. It’s also Pretty Lights Live and that’s our favorite. It’s how I met my best friend. It’s what brought me and my boyfriend together. Now, I have a little baby. As I get older, coming to something like this is a big commitment. It’s not just that we want to go to the show, we want to make it a vacation. We want to all be together. We’re not going to every summer festival, so when we do it, we do it right.”

“I love traveling with Shabbat tent to festivals. It provides me with the opportunity to feel like I don’t need to miss out on some of my greatest experiences because of religious restrictions. In fact, it allows me to use my beliefs to elevate the experience for myself and those around me. Whenever I attend a festival, I try to make sure I embody the spirit of my forefather Abraham and open my tent up on all sides. Being there to help those in need, whether it be a with food, a cup of water, or just a soul to connect with, I believe that is a necessary purpose at these things… but at the end of the day, I just really enjoy making people around me happy.”

“I’ve been blowing glass for about three and a half years. I learned from a family friend of mine, an amazing glass blower in Spokane. I used to be into macrame, and he always provided me with beads for my hemp necklaces. One day, he had me over and I just started blowing. I loved it more than tying hemp, and it’s become a big passion for me.”

“I’m a cultivation specialist at a large scale, recreational licensed cannabis farm called Yerba Buena located just outside of Portland. It was fate. I traveled across the country and landed where I landed, and I immediately met the most perfect people. I was actually the first employee they hired at this farm as a trimmer. And I just worked my way up. They saw a lot of potential in me, and I just keep growing in the company. I spend my time in the veg room tending to and training anywhere from 1,800 to 2,200 plants for flowering. This has become my everyday form of art with the most beautiful visual validation to keep me inspired.”
